Episiotomy
I had my first internal exam at 31 weeks (now 34 weeks), and the doctor said he will need to do an episiotomy. I think I blacked out so didn't ask him any questions at the time, but have a whole list for my next appointment. Has anyone been told they'll need an episiotomy prior to being in labor? I always thought that was a game time decision. I've also heard very mixed reviews as far as which recovery is better - tearing or episiotomy?
