What to put baby to sleep in?

Question

My baby wakes immediately after laying him down. He's 7 weeks old. We've tried a Halo bassinet, crib, pack n play, bassinet on the pack n play, and rock n play. Nothing at all works. Currently I'm having to cosleep as that's the only way I can get any rest but that is not something I'm comfortable doing long term. Has anyone had this issue? Is there a sleeper or something out there that might help?

We went from a pack n play to a snuggle nest, back to the pack n play and now hes in his crib in his own room. Once he got used to sleeping at night, we kept the pack n play next to our bed and each night moved it a bit further away. It sounds silly but it worked. By 5 weeks he was in his pack n play sleeping through the night and at 11 he was in his room. At 14 weeks we still hAvent had an issue

Swaddling is very important for helping babies sleep for the first few months so their startle reflex doesn't wake them. The swaddle sacks that Walmart carries is what we used. You just put them n it and it has Velcro fasteners so they can't wiggle out. Also, since he's used to sleeping with you holding him, you'll have to train him to sleep on his own. The method of sleep training we used with my daughter, you go through your bedtime or nap time routines, and then right BEFORE baby is asleep you lay him down. This way he can learn to self soothe and settle on his own. After you lay him down if he starts fussing don't pick him up. Just pat and shush until he settles down. ONLY pick him up IF he starts crying, not just fussing. If/ when you have to pick him up, get him settled but make sure you lay him down again BEFORE he's asleep.it takes a few days, but it's much easier on babies ( and parents) than cry it out methods. We got this method from a book CHERISH The First Six Weeks by  Helen Moon. She's a British Nanny with many years education, training, and experience. Her credentials are on her website. Her method worked great with our daughter. She was sleeping through the night by about 2-3 months old. All I would have to do was lay her down in her bassinet, she'd coo and babble for a bit, then go on to sleep. She'll go to sleep anywhere I lay her down and the most I ever have to do, is sometimes I have to lay down with her and sing to her if she's in a new place or is late for nap time or bedtime and is overtired and having trouble settling down. Try a swaddle blanket while cuddling, that way the warmth stays with them when laid down to sleep by themselves. It's usually the cold temperature change that wakes babies.
