Can some give info on faint lines?

Why would a line be faint after a miss period? Meaning, why wouldn’t it be blazing solid. Some girls seem to get faints so early (like 8dpo) while others get the same level of faint at 13-14dpo. Any meaning?

Yep, Katie has it right.  
A big part of it is just that the egg travels down the Fallopian tube and implants at a different time for everyone, the range is generally something like 7-12 dpo.  The hcg picked up by a test only starts to build up after implantation, and doubles once every 2 days or so.  So you can imagine that a lady for whom the trip down the Fallopian tube was really fast might get a faint line by 10dpo, whereas another lady who implanted 4-5 days later than that might only get a very faint line on the day her period is due.  And the explanation above doesn’t even get into the fact that many women might be slightly off about when they ovulated, for many reasons ( they didn’t chart or opk that month, or they had two LH surges (it can happen)), all of which adds even more variability to how dark your line is at 14 dpo.
The important thing is to see any line at all, and to then see it trending darker generally every 2-3 days (don’t expect to get darker every single day, there will be variability in the test and in the concentration of your urine)

everyone's hcg levels rise at different times a faint line usually means early in pregnancy but it depends on when u ovulated and when implantation occurred as to how much hcg is produced to get that faint line or bright solid positive

Thanks for asking this question cause I was wondering the same thing! The way that I understood it was that 2 women could ovulate in the same day but the hcg doesn’t start being produced until the egg is fertilized and implanted which could happen between 6 and 12 dpo. So some women may start producing hcg early and others late. But I could be wrong
