when is a good time to stop breastfeeding?

I just want to know when it is a good time to stop breastfeeding your baby and how did or how do you plan on winging your baby off?!

Answer

It’s encouraged to try and breastfeed for a year, at this time it’s ok to switch your baby over to food and other milk. If you stop prior to a year, you still need to give bottles with pumped breastmilk or formula. Don’t feel bad if you need to switch to bottles prior to a year though. Breastfeeding isn’t easy, and sometimes it just doesn’t work out for one reason or another. Do what works best for you and your child

Do it as long as you’re comfortable. My goal was a year but I couldn’t produce enough past 8 months so we had to switch to formula. We gradually would mix breast milk and formula till I ran out and he did fine with it
