Tips for Glucose Test?!!

I go in for my Glucose Test tomorrow around 11:45AM, I’m just wondering what are some useful or helpful tips that I can do! Should I fast or what? What should I eat? Thanks ladies!

Just did mine today but a specifically asked for an early appointment so I could eat afterwards due to being borderline with my last pregnancy. My doctor will only call if my results come back abnormal so no news is good news.

If you don’t have to fast them just eat something before you go. I just had toast with butter and some eggs. :)

I just took my second one today and neither time have I fasted. My dr even recommended eating a good breakfast (eggs, toast, and milk) before I came because I get low blood sugar easily and if I had fasted especially until 1pm I would have passed out. She just said nothing with a lot of sugar (juice, jelly, lattes, ex.) 2hrs prior.  The first time I did my 1 hr test I passed with a 94 (132 is the cut off) not sure what my score is this time but my dr said my chances are high of passing because I passed the last one with such a low score. I think you should eat but protein based breakfast. Like an egg and sausages. Remember that bread is a carb and breaks down to sugar. So I only do a protein breakfast. I passed with my daughter 2 years ago and just passed with my son last week! 🎉

I have done this test twice and passed both times. Here’s what I do:
No sugar for dessert the night before and try to eat a well balanced meal for dinner (you can have carbs and such, just try to make it well balanced!). 
Take your test as early as possible in the morning and eat something similar to 2 eggs and a sausage link (all protein rich food-vegetables work too!). No fruit, fruit juices, coffee/caffeine, sugar, cereal, dairy, etc. 
Stay well hydrated as well! 
None of this is faking the tests, which I don’t think anyone should do because if you do have it it needs to be regulated for the baby’s health but the dr actually recommended these to me and it worked!

My lab tech told me that the Drs who don’t make their patients fast always have failing results with the 1 hour and then they pass the 3 hour. I suggest fasting.

Friends have told me to drink plenty before going because once you drink the liquid they give you, you can't have anything else. Use a straw so you don't really taste it. & be sure to eat before so you don't get sick.
