What’s everyone’s opinion on the Baltic amber teething necklaces? Do they work or not work?

I’ve had several people tell me they are miracle beads. One lady stopped me in a Panera and told me she bought them for her granddaughter and they work like a charm. She actually bought a bracelet first and said it didn’t really do anything. Then she bought the necklace and it worked, especially helpful with drooling. 
Another friend is only into homeopathic remedies and told me that it really helped with her son’s teething. He didn’t seem to be in pain at all. 
If it’s not harmful I’m willing to give it a try. As a matter of fact I ordered a necklace on Amazon that is arriving today. If it doesn’t work I’m only out about $15. If it does then WooHoo cheapest remedy!!
