If I have sex with someone and the only method of birth control used is a condom, does that mean I won't get pregnant at all? Please educate me.

As long as the condom doesn’t break or slip off you won’t get pregnant. However, there’s always a chance it could rip or slip. Condoms are great though, because they help prevent STIs and STDs as well as pregnancy.

Condoms are about 90% effective. They can break, and they can be defective. I have gotten pregnant from a condom that did not break and that was used properly. It can happen.
