Age gap

I’m 15 on jan 30th and I like this guy who turned 18 at the start of December. He was born in 1999 and I was born in 2003 so technically he is 4 years older but not exactly 4 years. It’s like 3 years and 1 month But I know if we date my family won’t be happy about it so I’m unsure.
