The perfect guy would have to be liked/get along with my parents. Your parents usually want what's best for you, and they can usually tell who is/isn't a good person from their experiences in life. If my parents don't like a guy, there's probably a good reason. So no, I probably wouldn't marry someone my parents didn't like.

Yes I would. My parents obviously don’t have great choices in people given they’re divorced, had an ugly divorce and my moms finally settled with her 3rd husband. 3rd times the charm right??

My parents don’t really get a say in who I marry, rather I think that person is perfect or not. They aren’t the ones that have to live with my S/O for the rest of their life,so they get no say lol

many are asking "if he's perfect why do your parents not like him?" its simple. prejudice about race or religion. my mom supports my relationship with my man and has met him and really likes him,my father has not met him or even spoken to him and hates him ONLY because of his religion. he's my perfect man and makes me happiest so hell yeah I'll marry him regardless of what my parents want 👰

I did. My parents hate him and his mother hates me, we still got married. 
The only opinions about my husband that mattered were my grandpa and my bitch of a cat. He won both of them over.

I met my bf at 18 and my mum and brother swore blind they hated him 8years later they like him and all get along with him and his family. Wouldn’t of listened to them anyway .

My parents both love my husband, but they were upset when I told them we were engaged and upset when we got married so soon. They got married young and divorced and think that I’m following the same path. 
I married him anyway and we’re going to stay that way. 
Mom and Dad will be supportive in time and until that day they have the grace to not complain about it too much
