Chemical pregnancies take place before ultrasounds can detect a fetus, but not too early for a pregnancy test to detect levels of hCG.. 
The other comment is incorrect, that’s a miscarriage. Miscarriage & chemical pregnancy is a bit different..

A chemical pregnancy is a very early miscarriage. For example if you got a positive pregnancy test before your period arrives, then your period comes anyway.

Omg 😥 i think i had a chemical pregnancy... i got two pregnancy test with very faint lines and then got my period 3 days late how would i know?

It's miscarrying between 4-5 weeks I think. the time AT is due where you test positive but then start your period shortly after. the egg doesn't implant properly so will just come away as a period or slightly late period. I had one in August. still a miscarriage and still painful to see and feel

It’s a very early miscarriage which often happens before or around the time a woman’s period is due. So she may get a faint line on a pregnancy test because she did conceive.. but then she would get what she thinks is her period because the fertilised egg didn’t stick.
