Can You control who you fall in love with?

I'm getting kicked out tomorrow, because my mom isn't happy with the guy I fell in love with.

True, he wasn't a believer growing up, but he's following God now. Yeah, he's not a virgin, but I wasn't a virgin mentally, either, when we met.

He doesn't have a job, but he's set up with an inheritance from his dad. so he doesn't need to work.

He doesn't have his own house, but he wants to build one.

Sure, we argue about politics. who doesn't?

But, does that still mean I should get kicked out?

Regardless, I need prayers. My relationship with Mom isn't good because she thinks I'm sinning, and I am trying very hard not to fall into depression and make myself sick.
