UPDATE YALL!!!

My friend ended up getting back with his ex, just as I suspected, on Christmas Day. And I'm so relieved I don't have to deal with this childishness. Best Christmas present ever!!!

This happened about a few days ago.

I have this friend. Me and him have been best friends for about 2 years now. I just got out of a relationship and I've been single for about a month and he knows about everything that went down. Well a few days ago him and his girlfriend broke up. They've been on and off for about 4 years. Me and him meet and he confesses to me that he's always been attracted to me ever since we were friends even while he was with his girlfriend and even while I was in a relationship and he was secretly jealous seeing me happy with someone else because he wishes it could've been him. He said that not only is he attracted to me physically but also emotionally and mentally. Back when we used to hang out all the time we had feelings for each other but we never dated or did anything and eventually my feelings went away especially since I knew he'd be getting back together with his ex. And since they're broken up again I have no doubts they'll be back together. And I'm wondering if he felt this way about me the whole time and we've had plenty of chances to be together why did he never say anything? I can't help but feel he's on a rebound. I confronted him about me being a rebound, and he said that our friendship is more important than anything. It's just weird, and it's so confusing
