Dialated before scheduled csection?

Question

Has anyone had their scheduled date moved up earlier due to being dilated? I’m worried about the distance to my hospital and hoping if I am dilated they will not make me wait until my due date. I want baby to cook, but I don’t want to have him in the car 😬😬.

I've had 2 friends who were due to have repeat csections, they usually don't make u wait until your due date. They schedule around 39 weeks. Both friends had water break before their scheduled csection. Both times they went to hospital and doctor     gave the csection within hours of arriving.

I was scheduled for a csection at 39 weeks 1 day. The day before, my water decided to brake and I started having contractions. Went to the hospital and found out I was already 7 cm dilated! They did the csection right away and had my baby in my arms about an hour after arriving at the hospital. She was delivered at 7:26am on 12-7. My scheduled csection was for 12-8 at 7:30 am, she decided to come a day early.
