Antidepressants and TTC

Ugh. so i just started care with a new primary doctor and asked to be put back on an anti depressant that i took during my pregnancy and a brief period before that too. Mostly because my previous OBGYN told me that he put me on was the best pregnancy safe one with no harmful effects. i took it from my 2nd trimester on. Well my new primary care was baffled and then showed me some of the side effects/ birth defects possible. And said " If you need antidepressants, than be on them its OK. but please bring this up to your OBGYN and make sure you guys are being cautious." currently ttc and depressed. and the medications arent recommended for the first trimester.
