How many tums can i take safely?

I know the bottle of tums says to only take four in a 24 hour period. But my heartburn get so bad that I take them more often than that probably 6 to 10 in a 24 hour. Does anyone else take a lot or are there any other remedies that work longer and are better for you? im 37 weeks.

take zantac. it's awesome. it's allowed and works great

I’ve been taking Prilosec daily since around 28 weeks and have had zero heartburn/acid reflux since. Check with your doctor to find out what he recommends for you.

Take Zantac or get a prescription from your doctor for heart burn. When i was pregnant, i was taking 2 Zantac a day cuz my heartburn was so bad. Over time, the calcium from Tums can turn into kidney stones, so i always stay away from them. Kidney stones are no joke!

Ginger tea like legit buy some ginger and boil it. Tums didn’t do anything. The ginger tea was god sent

My dr said the most Tums you should take in a day is 6. She was very adamant about not taking more when pregnant as it can cause kidney stones. She recommended Zantac when heartburn is this bad.
