Have you successfully stopped pumping at work while still breastfeeding at home?

My son will be a year old in less than 3 weeks. I want to continue breastfeeding him when I'm at home, but I work 9-6 Monday through Friday and I am soooooo sick of pumping! Any tips are greatly appreciated.

Of course. I work 7-4 and I’m gone for a total of 10 hours. I cut down on the number of pumping sessions one at a time around a year and was done pumping around 13 months old. Nursing was constant when I got home though, and a couple times in the middle of the night. It’s tiring on momma but I was so relieved to be done with pumping and my baby was still having healthy checkups and enjoying nursing. 16 months on the 8th and still going strong. Her favorite time to nurse is the second I get home.

When they reach 10 months they only need one breast feeding session a day. So I’d say stop pumping and just breastfeed when home. I am planning on doing this much sooner! At 8 months she only needs 3 feeds, morning, late afternoon and before bed. So no longer need the milk during day care. And that’s perfectly fine!

I used to just pump on my hour long lunch break. But I was only going in the office one day a week and working from home primarily (which was much easier to keep up)
I plan on this time around just pumping in the middle of the day on lunch break, and making sure I feed baby before I leave for work (or pump both sides if she is still sleeping when I leave). Hoping to keep up as long as I can. Baby is 3 months on Tuesday.
