Could I be pregnant

Sooooo like 5 days ago I thought my period came but it must have been spotting bc it didn’t last it was more drown pink then red. For the past two days I’ve been nauseous & this morning I threw up while brushing my teeth I’m so scared to take a test bc what if it’s negative & I got my hopes up for nothing.
