Random surprises after heart break...

So I’m one of those many many women who’s husband has cheated. When he went to pick out my engagement ring, he actually took a girl who he was having sex with (side note it was one of his friends wives). I found this out about a year ago (we have been married for 5 now). Yes I forgave him, yes I am still with him. Well when I found this out I was completely heartbroken. I was so in love with my ring, and to find out he bought it with her... I have been so pissed at him for making me hate my ring because he decided to be stupid. I had been emotionally up and down (not only because of this but other health issues I have been struggling with). Well about three weeks before Christmas we got into a fight because I had not been wearing my ring. Who can blame me though? I loved it but I hated every second that I looked at my ring I got instantly pissed and heartbroken. Well I told him that night and he shut down (nothing new that’s how we cope I know it’s not healthy haha) Well I went to Kay and picked out a levian gladiator ring that I wanted. I thought he went and bought me that ring. We ended up driving to his sisters house and on top of the Ellensburg pass he pulled over with a view of the snow and ellensburg and surprised me. He made up his proposal and asked if I would stay with him forever. He said he got me this upgrade because I deserve so much more and I deserve a ring I can fall in love with every day and not hate him for. Then he made a little joke and said the only person who helped him with this one was my friend (who worked at Kay). I laughed. We kissed. I cried. I know it’s silly to think about material things, but this is so much more than a new ring. It’s a new promise and I feel like we have finally gotten back to where we started.
