Circumcision is a completely unnecessary and purely cosmetic procedure. The percentage of intact men in the world is over 70%, 20% of circumcised men are Muslim, and the remaining 10% are a mixture of Jewish and American. Even in America the rates are dropping to about 50/50. Hopefully one day it will be even lower. Inact care for an infant is so much easier, you never retract the foreskin and clean it just like a finger, base to tip. A circumcised baby requires you to retract every day for the first year to prevent adhesions from forming. I’m having a Boy and he is going to be circumcised! I can careless what others think about it. It’s cleaner and healthier! Not being circumcised and not cleaning his penis correctly can cause infections. Over all it’s your decision.

I personally don't think it's necessary and have never been bothered by a man who wasn't circumcised.  I'm pregnant with a boy and my SO is adamant that he will be circumcised because he was made fun of a lot because he wasn't in high school. I personally do not see a need to have my boy circumsized. I am 20 weeks pregnant and he won't be circumsized. When they are young the foreskin is never to be pulled back. The only person pulling the foreskin back should be the owner of the penis. My husband is not circumcised and never had any problems with hygene or anything related to his penis. I see it as an unnessicary procedure. It is common in the US but I won't do something because it's popular. If there's no medical reason why would you? Whatever you decide do some research and find what you feel is right for your little guy!

Don’t leave it up to us! Do you’re research, talk to your significant other. It’s totally a personal choice, no medical significance to go one way or the other. My spouse wanted to do it for our son bc of social norm reasons. No males in my family are circumcised. But, I felt like dad was more qualified to make that call than I was, so we did it. I left it up to my sons father who is not circumcised. I personally didn’t want to circumcise but I don’t have a penis so the choice was his and he chose not to. I think it’s better this way. I’m glad we could agree. I think as long as you teach your child proper care, there shouldn’t be any issues.

I have a 18 month baby boy and at first I asked a lot of people their opinion (mom's and guys) and I can honestly say 90% said to circumcise him.. I still wasn't 100% sure that that's what I wanted to do so I did a lot of research and decided not to. My husband isn't but wasn't against not doing it so it made it harder for me to decide. It's a personal decision but the way I looked at it is that my baby is in my belly for 40 weeks to grow healthy and make a perfect baby boy, why would I decide to cut a piece of his skin as soon as he's out and make him suffer for no good reason? it hurts them! Just because they can't tell you doesn't mean it doesn't.

It’s completely unnecessary. There are absolutely no health benefits, it does not make it easier to clean and anyone who tells you that it does is uneducated. Circumcision creates a painful, open wound that is vulnerable to bacteria, and also strips the child of the right to decide what happens to their own body. If I ever did that to my child, I’d be disgusted and ashamed. I would never ever want to inflict something so horrible on an innocent baby. It is usually and traditionally done for religious reasons. If you have no reason to do it then don’t. It should be your sons choice what happens to his penis. You wouldn’t like it if someone made the decision to mutilate your vagina without your consent and without considering your feelings about it. Why would you want to do that to your child? Do your research before making a decision. It’s best to leave it and let him have the choice to get it done in the future, than to have it done and him never have the choice. More and more people are choosing not to circumcise because research has shown that it does more harm than good.

I would do your research first... I'm having a girl but if I was having a boy I wouldn't want to circumcise - strictly based on all the research I have done - if I hadn't done any research I would probably still be pro circumcision since it's the social norm. But ultimately I would take my husbands opinion as a deciding factor since he is the same sex parent and he knows a bit more about being an owner of a penis than I do lol. My husband would have been pro circumcision but he also has done zero research so I don't know. I think you should do your homework first and then see how you feel.
