should i take the wrap off?

hi girls, today I got the nexplanon insertion at a local planned parenthood and the woman told me to keep it wrapped so it doesn't bruise. but its slipping (the bandage) and causing a little discomfort and I was wondering is it okay to unwrap and rewrap? would it change the effects?

The worst thing that'll happen is you'll bruise. A lot of Drs don't even wrap and just let a bruise happen. I'd say go ahead and rewrap it. If I remember correctly, I only kept mine on for like 6 hours and it only bruised where the nurse didn't wrap it high enough.

I think I was only told to keep the wrap on for a day but I had a huge nasty bruise in the shape of a perfect rectangle... but I bruise very easily
