credit score???

okay, so i just REALLY want a higher credit score 😫 i feel like i stress about it waaay more than I should and im not really sure why lol. So I'm 20 years old, I really dont have a lot of credit history. I do have a car in my name, and I also have a few credit cards. I pay everything on time. My balances on my cards are actually pretty low, but could be better. I'm in the "fair" range on credit karma, as of right now, but I would like to be in the "good range" lol. How do i raise my score, does it continue to raise over time if I still have the same accounts, without adding more, and they're all in good standing, and about how long does it take to see a significant change in your score????

A lot of it deals w debt to income ratio. I have a good credit score, but until my student loans go away, I’ll literally never see it go up by more than a point or two every so often. It also helps to pay your credit card bills a few days early from time to time! Trust me on that one. Actually, it’s best to only use those bad boys for emergencies or do what I do.. buy what you need to buy BUT then the next day PAY it off. Never buy anything you don’t have the money for. You’ll be ok!

The reason you’re in the fair and not good range is probably a lot to do with the age of your credit accounts meaning they haven’t been opened long. Keep your accounts in good standing and you’ll be good!! If it makes you feel better I’m 26 and just recently got my credit score in the Good range so you’re doing great
