When did you take the bottle away?

Hey all!
When did you take the bottle away?
My 16 month old is still BF but she gets bottles regularly. Lately she is pushing in the tops and causing the milk to spill! 
Its making a huge mess!! When did you take them away?? When did you give them instead?
What age did you switch?

We switched to sippy cups for daytime around 12 months and he only gets one bottle at bedtime but doesn’t hold it himself. I know I need to take that one too but he’s sleeping and I don’t like to mess with sleep haha

we switched to sippys when she was 11.5 months old. I just cut them out and gave her a sippy with whole milk. it didnt phase her a bit luckily. 😂

just before his first birthday we where able to switch. I had tried sippy cups for about 2 months with no luck and finally bought some with straws. He likes to copy so I did a super exaggerated slurpping sound with the straw in my mouth and that was litterly all it took lol. He tried to copy and got water out so it worked. My oldest was harder. I had to use a juice box and squeeze with the straw in his mouth for awhile until he got it. My first used a sippy cup though for along time where as my youngest still has never used one.

12m. we went away for the weekend and forgot them. we only had sippy on hand and she didn't even seem to notice. i was still nursing at night.

I took my sons bottle away at 11 months went to a soppy cup and switched to normal milk by 12 months. He now gets big kid cups and a cup with a straw with water during the day only milk with breakfast and before bed. He is 16 months old.

Daycare took it away at a year old, we took it away at 14 months. I giver her cups and a cup with a straw of water only at bedtime.

I switched my daughter at 12 months.  Started with the soft top ones now she only used the hard ones.  We are no where near ready for regular cups yet!
