Flat Head..On 4 month old..Anyone?!?😭😭

so yesterday my daughters doctor noticed her flat head...And I was taken back..They hope that by 6 months it will round itself out on its on...But I can't help but feel terrible..They said if it isnt gone by 6 months..she will most likely need a helmet..Am I the only one going thru this.!😭😭😭

My 2 month old is starting to get a flat head on her right side. Since the day she was born she always turns her head that way. Her pediatrician said when she is supervised to use blankets to prop her head in other positions with blankets to fix it. More tummy time helps too.

Depending on how strong your baby is, you might be able to mix up daily activities to help reduce. My daughter sits in a chair kind of like a bumbo chair, uses the jumper, does tummy time, I help sit with her and prop her while reading or playing with toys on floor, and carry her in a carrier for some naps. Those all take their head off flat surfaces. She does still lay in rock n play, crib, and activity center too but I have never had a flat head problem (especially because she is a stomach sleeper 🙄), just hoping these suggestions help find new things to do with baby. we had the same problem. my pediatrician referee us to a physical therapist. it only took two sessions to fix the problem. he had torticollis. (tightness in the neck muscle on one side) which made him only lay on one side of his head leading to a flat spot. wi th proper exercises and lots and lots of tummy time you can probably avoid a helmet.

My baby is 4 months too and also has a flat spot on his right side, he always sleeps facing that way even if we switch up what end of the crib he’s laying at. We’re trying to do more tummy time as well as sitting him up for play/stories/etc.
