My son is one week old today. I’ve been breastfeeding but I’m not producing quite enough milk so the lactation counselor has me using a supplemental nurser to deliver some formula. Baby’s getting fed, weight is up and all is good on that front.

The problem is he literally wants to be on my boob 24x7. He’ll suck for a bit and then drift off to sleep but if I put him down he wakes up and starts crying. If someone else holds him he’s calmer but sucks on chins, clothes, etc. But what he really wants is mommy. I was joking that I feel like a human pacifier. Today I couldn’t take it anymore and gave him a pacifier. Kept him content for almost 30 minutes. I’m afraid I just have a sucky baby....lol.
