Do you wish you could learn too many languages?

I love languages, and right now I want to learn Romanian, German, Danish, French, Mandarin, and at least a dozen others... but I know I probably will only be able to learn two or at the most three 😭😭😭 anyone else feel like this?

I know five languages and it’s impossible to keep them all fresh and useful unless you speak them regularly. So whenever I travel to the countries where my third, fourth, and fifth languages are spoken, it takes me several days to get up to speed and even then it’s rusty

I also speak 5 languages and it's something I'm very proud of. You can never be overeducated but I do suggest that you only learn one language at a time. Bonne chance 😉

I really want to be able to speak Polish, German, French, Russian, Greek, Swedish, and at least understand so many others. sadly I have other priorities in life so learning new languages will wait.

Do you know any foreign language already? Think about which of these would be most useful for you to know.  You can master A1 level of the ones you love the sound of but maybe would not have much use of, or opportunity to speak. Would you like to be a language teacher one day? I studied French in school (4 years) and German in high school (4 years). 4 years after, I now know few words in French and can understand somewhat of German :] . I was quite good at speaking German (B1-B2). So, the sad truth is: if you don't continue to use the language after you stop learning it, you do forget the most of it... But I admire your will and encourage you to start learning any language, and later on, if you have opportunity, visit the country where it is spoken :)

yessss . I speak some spanish and am dabbling with arabic . took french in highschool and sign language . want to learn so so many !!!! nice to meet you lolol
