Nipple shields

I'm an FTM with small flat nips. I have been breastfeeding (exclusively) with nip shields so far (LO is 9 weeks old). How do I wean her off it? (The Lactation consultant at hosp wasn't helpful so in ur suggestion pls dont say go to a LC! Pls suggest other ways how YOU GUYS did it successfully)
