How soon can you feel nexplanon side effects?

I've had it for about 3 weeks, but I find myself being much more easily irritated over the smallest of things, so I've been wondering wether the implant could be the reason for my mood swings or if its just drawbacks since I stopped taking my anxiety meds. *EDIT: I've stopped taking my meds for over 2 months and only noticed mood swings recently*

Mine gradually increased on the effects over a year. At a year I had to get it removed because of severe anxiety and depression. I would walk through the halls at school and think everyone was laughing and talking about me, I almost dropped out. Now I have pain in the insertion site and it’s been out over a year now. My nurse argued with me about taking it out too. After it was removed it took about a week or two to feel like myself again. 
You know your body better than anyone. If you feel like it’s the Nexplanon, it probably is. Just keep an eye on the symptoms. Ive had the nexplanon for 6 years. The side effects started around a few weeks having it first inserted to a year of having it. I had wild spotting for 6 months. And i gained 40lbs. Which im not complaing about because im 5’7” and i was 100lbs when i started so now i look normal and not dying haha. Thats beside the point, side effects are different for everyone. Just keep everything in a journal and see a doctor if you have any questions or concerns.
