Wedge for bassinet?

Question

9 day old son has reflux and starting to spit up in his sleep. 
Nurse said to put a wedge in bassinet or sleep in car seat. I'm not gonna put him in a car seat to sleep, I only feel comfortable with him on a flat surface, swaddled. 
Our bassinet is the arms reach versatile. 
Is he okay to sleep on back even though he has spit up.

All I did was put a pillow under the bassinet mattress. The bassinet stays level, and the baby’s head gets lifted. And spent no money. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

My pediatrician recommended trying a rock and play and my baby sleeps longer in it. We also do paced feeding if I don’t nurse and sit her upright for awhile afterwards.

Put some books or pieces of wood under the legs of one side of the bassinet. That will keep him “flat” but still elevated enough to help the spit up get out and relieve some pressure on his tummy.

I mean the baby could choke if the baby spits up in their sleep.. I’d do a wedge or a sit up. Maybe a rock and play .. I did that bc I was so nervous about my boy spitting up while sleeping .. it works great and a lot of Mother’s do it

We bought a wedge to put under our son’s mattress for the same reason(he’s 6 weeks) and he always slides down and spits up anyway ☹️

We use the wedge pillow they sell and I cut it to fit in the arms reach cosleeper we used
