DVD workouts (Shaun T and PiYo)

Has anyone been successful with Shaun T or PiYo? I NEED to lose weight and my doctor recommended the Mediterranean diet along with 30 mins of exercise 4 or 5 days a week. I don’t feel comfortable going to the gym because I am overweight (not terribly but I am, I’m a size 13/14 in pants and about 190 lbs at a little under 5’5) and have always been self conscious. I had an eating disorder when I was younger so that shot my metabolism and I have also been dealing with depression, so I shot up... specifically after my miscarriage. I have to work on my metabolism, eating and exercise habits... I plan on working out at least 5-6 days a week with my DVDs. I’m wanting to stagger them, so do Hip Hop Abs one day and PiYo the next. Do you think this will help me get fit? I’d like to get back to a 3/4 in pants within the next two years.
