how do you maintain a sexual life w/ newborn?

have a hard time where mommy and daddy time comes into play. things are soooo hectic.

We usually wait until bedtime since we have an older child who doesn’t nap. It usually takes me about 10-12 weeks until I’m feeling back to normal sexually, which usually coincides with when baby is on a decent sleep routine.

I PROMISE you will get there. When my, now 6 month old, was a newborn I had horrible visions of never having sex again. It started getting more like our normal routine about a month ago. But until like 3 months we didn't have sex 😂 I was WAY too tired lol

my little guy is 9weeks and we haven't figured this out. actually my husband sleeps on the couch (Idk why) and the baby sleeps with me. I'm hoping to get him sleeping in the pack n play by my bed soon, it's jist easier to have him with me when he's ready to nurse. & no, I don't normally agree with cosleeping... this is the 1st time I've done it and I don't really sleep.

It was three or four months before we even tried, I was pretty uncomfortable for a while. 
Eventually “the baby is asleep and I will be in bed” became the sexiest thing I could say to my husband.

Nap time. Baby started sleeping alone for naps around 3-4 months. I was in too much pain for sex before then so it worked out well for us.

I fed her burp her change her put her down for a nap or bed and let her cry it out till she falls asleep and since we share a room with our daughter we have sex on the couch

See if someone can babysit and then just go back home for the few hours they are watching baby!

We are barely able to start having some adult time now at 2 months PP. Our baby now sleeps like 6 hours his first stretch so we feed/put him to bed around 11p, mom & Dad can sip some wine & alone time. :) it takes time but it will get easier eventually
