dayquil while breastfeeding?

I was just wondering if it's safe to give my baby breast milk when I took some dayquil? It's been 5 hours since I took it so should I pump and dump or will it be fine? I'm exclusively pumping

when I was recently sick my doctor told me not to take NyQuil or DayQuil. she suggested Mucinex. she said basically any of the cold medicines you can't take when you're pregnant you shouldn't take if you're breastfeeding. But I would talk with your doctor specifically.

No, you should ask a pharmacist when you going but I’m almos t100% mucuinex is the only bf safe meds and you should make sure you grab the right one or talk to a pharmacist cause there are different types
