Happy New Year *UPDATE*

Hubby and I rang in the new year in the hospital. Kiddo hadn't been moving much and we couldn't get the kick count requirement so we went in. His heartbeat is good but he's not giving off the spikes he should be so after an hour and a half they told us they want us to stay the night so they can monitor all night. Hopefully all goes well. This little monkey is going to give me a heart attack. Positive thoughts and prayers would be appreciated. Update: Things did not go well. Early in the morning his hb had dropped 3 separate times. They did an ultrasound and he still wasn't moving even though his heart rate was ok. The doctor decided on an emergency C-section when they started having issues finding his heartbeat. I was rushed to the OR and he wasn't breathing when he came out. It had been too long without oxygen to his brain when they were able to resuscitate him. Many tests were done and they determined that he was essentially brain dead. We opted to take him off the machines and we're just going to spend our time with him until he passes. He was born at 7:08am on Jan 1.
