Birth Control?

I know this is a topic posted about a lot, but I'm wondering what kinds of birth control has worked best for everyone? I've heard bad things about pretty much every option, and downright horror stories of depo so that's not even something I'm considering. I'm bf so that limits my options. I'm almost 10 months pp, and the reason I didn't get on any was I was on the pill a few years ago and my periods were so irregular. I had one where I bled for 3 weeks and I was terrible at remembering. Also when I came off it I shot up 20lbs despite trying to lose weight to fit in my wedding dress. I recently decided I'm not sure if I want more kids or not despite my husband insisting we have another so I want to have that extra protection from any happy surprises.
