My 16mo old has been having cough and fever since Christmas. we went to the doctor on 12/30, and he prescribed antibiotic due to ear infection. He has been better the past 2 days, until last night ... he started not eating much. Then this morning, he has been crying since he got up, no matter what we do. The only thing can calm him down is hold him and walking. I am wondering is it his ear infection getting worse. So far no fever. Should I give him

Motrin just to rule out pain? any remedies ? Since it is new year today and no doctor available, would like to see any mama has some advise or should I take him to ER (which I try to avoid for possible get contact of more sickness and the crowd there). Thank you!
