based on my experience getting my braces removed i’d honestly wait to get your lip pierced - my orthodontist kept bashing my newly-pierced nostril so i’d hate to think what’d happen to your lip!

Wouldnt recommend. I made the decision to get my lip pierced when I had braces and the lip bar got caught and I pulled the bar and ball thru my lip because of this I can now easily pull my lip bar thru my lip.

I definitely wouldn’t recommend it! You’ll also get a lot of flak from your orthodontist too lol. I’d wait until you get the braces off if anything. You just don’t want to risk infection of the new piercing by potentially getting it caught on the braces or bacterial build up from braces. Even if you’re the cleanest teeth brushed in existence- braces still harbor more bacteria because food can get stuck in them easier

Had to take mine out i had bottom lip done and it would get stuck in my braces.  😱😫😫

I had mine pierced when I had braces. I didn't like the stud at all (and that's what you have to start out with) because it gets caught in your braces, but the ring wasn't bad tbh.
