My daughter has always been great at bedtime- loved reading books, then laid in her crib with her music on and fell asleep. We converted her to a toddler bed this fall and initially she loved it, then she started hating her room and waking in the middle of the night, screaming, and running to our room. For a while we moved her mattress to the floor in our room because she was so scared to be alone. I put her mattress back in her room and she is still waking up and crying and now refuses to do any bedtime routine in her room. It’s like she’s scared of her room! When she wakes in the middle of the night (usually about 2 or 3 am) and runs to our room, we’ve let her crawl in bed with us. Bad habit - I know - but it’s so exhausting fighting her to sleep. I’m 28 weeks pregnant so my energy is running low. I’ve tried everything - rocking her, not rocking her, nightlight, no nightlight, door open, door closed. I’m at a loss! Any other parents going through this? Please tell me I’m not alone. Any advice?! I just want everyone in my house to get a good nights sleep!
