Ready for sex?

How do you know when your ready to start having sex? What responsibility if any comes along with it? How does it change you?

Uh. I feel like if you have to ask if you’re ready, you’re not ready. I dated my ex for a year before I lost my virginity at 16. I have no regrets. We dated for a long time after but drifted apart. I was on birth control, we stayed stocked up on condoms, I had extra pregnancy tests stashed away. I have a FWB’s now and I still don’t feel like there’s much of a “responsibility”. Getting tested before partner changes, safe sex, and bring comfortable are the main things personally.

When you are educated on the repercussions of STDs, educated on pregnancy, contraceptives, and  infections you can get. I feel like that's when you're mentally ready because then you have the knowledge of what to do in all of those situations and the signs of them. Emotionally I believe you can be in a lot of places emotionally. Are you ready for a commitment? Is it a serious relationship or just a sexual one? Is your partner considerate of your needs and where if anywhere you want the relationship/relations to go? If you've got those bases covered I feel like you're safe.

I was 19 when I first had sex. I had chances earlier with a previous boyfriend but we were just too stressed and worried about pregnancy it never worked out. At 19 I met a guy that just made me feel comfortable. And I felt like I was old enough and prepared enough to deal with any consequences. Even tho we used protection so it was unlikely. I just felt less worried and therefore relaxed into it better.
Its personal to everyone and when they meet someone right. I think you can tell when you feel ready.

you'll know when you get into the moment with someone, it's not always planned. As of changes for me, I'm happier, I have a higher sex drive and I have bonded with people like my mom and fiance better

Well, if you think about it and no thought in your mind is uncomfortable. If you are ready for the possibility to be pregnant and the struggles of pregnancy or losing your pregnancy or losing your baby. 
It can make you fall in love with a total a hole, it can make you drop every opportunity you have, it can be something used again you, it can give you an std or sti. Something you may never get rid of. 
It can make the excitement of doing it go away especially if you aren’t ready and rush into it. it can make you hate yourself and regret it and even feel violated. 
Just think is this really the person, the time or worth it?

when you want to and you're old enough to be safe, no what you like, and it's no one else's business. I guess at least 18, I know so kids might be mad at this. just my opinion.
