Hi all, my baby is only 4 days one and is feeding well. But the problem is the extreme pain! The first few days it wasn't an issue but these last few feedings have been torture. His latch seems to be good and I had a Lactation consultant watch me yesterday to confirm that. But the pain is getting unbearable. I have the gel soothies pads and the cream but those haven't helped enough. I've heard breast-feeding can be really painful in the first few weeks but not sure how I can handle this if it keeps getting worse every day. I'm going to speak with another Lactation consultant today but wondering if anyone here had a lot of pain the first few weeks of breast-feeding. Did your nipples just need a chance to toughen out? If so do you remember about how long it took for the pain to finally go away? Thank you!
