In Canada you can now get baby box from Baby Box Co. for free. You have to Register, take a free 20 min education course online, receive your couse completion certificate and then you get free stuff. My friend got one for her baby who was born in August 2017 and she loves it. The box itself can actually be used as a safe sleeping space. Right now I can only find the 2017 box online so I will be watching the website and ordering mine as soon as it's updated.
