Baby keeps scratching his face. Advice?

So my 3.5 month has kid keeps scratching up his face. I cut his nails about once every 3-4 days, yet he stills has scratches everywhere. Like it looks like he got in a fight with a cat or something. It sucks and I don’t know how to keep him from scratching his face. He hates wearing mittens and is grabbing things now so I don’t want to cover up his hands. What should I do??

aw poor baby! my son was the same way! i made sure his nails were always trimmed like literally every 2 days i was making sure the edges of his nails werent sharp either and i filed his nails down. they have little nail filers for babies i used those helped alot. and at night when he went to sleep i put mittens even tho they would come off😑 Good luck tho!

You can file them but it’s something you really can’t completely avoid unless you have his hands covered 24/7.

Try buying some mittens to put on his hands it will stop him scratching

We put vasaline on his “hot spots” and that helps keep the scratches down for our guy

Try the long sleeve onesies with the sleeves that fold into mittens on the end
