Child support ?

My baby father and i aren’t together but do try to talk from time to time depending on how the conversation goes.

Well today i received a piece of paper from the child support enforcement saying i have to put him on child support if i still want my son to get Medicaid. Personally i need Medicaid especially for him Idc about myself because i try to keep myself well. My baby father doesn’t really do anything he always wants to buy clothes and shoes all the time but like i tell him i don’t need those things i need diapers and wipes and i tell him all the brands and i buy because i only buy pampers and parent choice wipes with no scent and it’s all of a sudden i forgot what you buy or it’s always let me know when you need it and then when i do he wants me to drive across town to take him to the store and I currently stopped working due to can’t afford daycare in my area and my mom was my baby sitter but now she’s going back to work so I’m back at home and going to school.

(If i was working i would drive and wouldn’t ask for gas money and he knows that)

So I’ll tell him i could come but imma need atleast $5-10 in gas and he’ll pick a date and when that day comes, i get nothing, i get no type of text, i be up at 9 everyday because my son seems to just pop up at 9 and he know we be up and when i do text him i get no response till hours later saying i was sleep.

He was supposed to pay of the toys r us credit card bill and he’ll say he’ll give me the money next week because this week check doesn’t look good so I’ll wait and when that week comes nothing, i told him I’m not going to reminding you every week and get the same answer so i told him when tax time or my school check I’ll pay it off myself and he’ll get upset.

I’m supposed to get him circumcised and I’ll have to pay out of pocket and when i was telling him about it and how much it’ll be he was saying okay, i didn’t get a I’ll help you or I’ll pay for it.

I’m not the type of person to put someone on child support if you was trying to change your life for the better and help by giving me $10 or $20 here and there and my mom is the same way i’ll basically tell you what i need and if i don’t get it then it’s whatever, I’ll get it myself and that’s what i been doing.

My mom basically raised me that way but when it comes to this letter idk what to say, my mom said lie and say i don’t know him or idk where is but if i give his name i feel like they’ll look in the system and find him because he has been arrested but idk anything about that.

I am young and don’t know anything about this kind of stuff and personally feel like he should be on child support because my dad side of the family say put him on it and some on my mom side say it and then my mom will say that’s me but personally idk what to do.

Has anyone been through this ?

Should i go ahead and give them his info or listen to my mother and say idk him.

I told him what the paper said but i didn’t get a response.

I really do want him to do better but when i try talking to him and asking him where his money going because i know he has no bills to pay, i never get an answer.

He’s 21 turning 22 in a couple months.

Any advice ?

Update: he responded and said he doesn’t deserve to be on child support he thinks the little time he’s been in the baby life is good.
