You guys got no help in your time of need! Trump was so disrespectful to throw paper towels to you guys and that's it. I don't understand why he wouldn't help a territory of the USA, that was and is doing so bad from the hurricane.

Most people still don’t even have electricity.. so not sure on how this would be a “speedy recovery”. No one is helping them. So not sure on how they are suppose to recover if they aren’t getting the help that is needed......

They got barely any help from the states!!! I know several Puertoricans with family there, and they tell me they are struggling so bad! They aren’t getting help fast enough and there’s a big part of the country where no help has even arrived yet. Smh.

I think its sad and too slow of a recovery.
When we had the Kaikoura Earthquakes that (literally) raised the seabed on the coast, everyone made it priority. Including the navy who sailed down with supplies and set up ovens and portable cookers to be able to feed the residents and the workers who were helping.
Leaving people to their own devices is sad; especially when there was fast response for Florida/Texas. :(

I’ll be visiting in April for my honeymoon. I don’t know what will be going on by then, but id be interested in volunteering anywhere that needs some extra hands.
I am happy to be supporting the tourism economy there too. Staying in SJ for 4 days and then west side of the island near Rincon for 5 days.

I havent been there ..... my BDR was there for most of Dec to be w family; he said its fine, everything’s open, clearly internet connection was good (we do Zoom meetings), says he was surpised but all seems great there....

My father just came back from being over there for months working for Foster Fuels. He stated that when he was returning, he noticed hundreds of trucks just parked with pallets of water and food just sitting. Why??? If they are in such need, why arent the ppl getting these donations? Or is it just so much extra?
