Should the making &/or wearing of REAL fur coats be illegal?

Why or why not? 
P.S. Can we avoid calling people who vote yes sensitive and “snowflakes?”
P.P.S. Also, can we avoid questioning the humanity of ppl who vote no & insinuating that they’re morally inferior?

I voted no. 
There’s a lot of heritage fur out there and making it illegal to wear feels both wasteful, and like an infringement. 
I’m ok with ending the practice of breeding, trapping animals solely for fur, but if it’s a byproduct of the meat industry, I’d rather see it utilized.

It depends. I think that mass harvesting fur from animals grown to be killed for fur is bad. However, taking the fur from an already dead animal is okay to me. If someone hunts, I think it's great to use as much as the animal as possible, assuming they're hunting for meat (hunting just to kill stuff isn't something I'm a fan of).

I think it depends. Some hide is used and the animal is humanely hunted or “harvested” so to say all hide/fur should be illegal is too broad. 
Now rare animal fur yes absolutely. But coon, deer, and other legally hunted animals yes sure. 
As long as it’s legally gathered I have no issue.

i think that killing for the fur is cruel but if the animal naturally dies its just repurposing. thats just my opinion :)

I said yes, but if you're using the whole animal and not just killing it for the fur like say you kill it for the meat and want to use as much of the animal as possible, it's fine. If you're just killing for the fur, that is completely wrong

making new products from fur for retail and fashion yes. wearing items you already have no. also some communities such as the inuits need fur to survive they use the whole animal.

We might as well make hamburgers illegal if fur is illegal.

I have several furs that has been passed down to me from my grandmother. 
I would never go out of my way to buy fur though. 
I don’t think wearing fur should be illegal.
