Does anyone else always cry at doctors offices.

Like as soon as the doctor talks to me I burst out in tears. Probably because of my anxiety but it's still super embarrassing because I'm an adult and feel like I shouldn't have this reaction. Please make me feel better and tell me it happens to you too 😂

It has happened to me before. I think it’s an emotional response to getting help and because my doctor is so lovely and understanding. There’s absolutely no need to be embarrassed they are a medical professional and are there to help you.

I don't cry but my blood pressure gets high I told my doctor I was afraid of the doctors and he totally understood and was sweet which made me less anxious

This doesn't happen to me but I remember when I was younger and I'd go in with my mom and siblings, my mom would basically burst into tears when he asked her anything. Stress and pressure can bring things right up to the surface

I've never done that. just take deep breathes before you go in and while waiting for the doctor. take a friend with you to distract you
