VBAC questions.

I had to have a c section with my daughter due to failure to progress. My husband and I have started to talk about trying for another baby come May when this semester ends. Well I really really want to try a VBAC. I feel like I kind of missed some sort of experience not having a vaginal delivery. Has anyone ever had a successful VBAC after a failure to progress C-Section that they would like to share? Do you think my OBGYN will let me try to do one or do they tend to push for a c section after you’ve already had one?
