Echogenic Bowel

At the anatomy scan our baby boy's bowel was brighter than they like to see it - not as bright as the bone, but still too bright. They had us do another ultrasound at the next appointment, hoping it would go away... but it didn't. So we were sent to a specialist, to see what they could find. The only abnormality was the bowel, which could be because he ingested some blood, or it could be an indicator of something more serious, even though it's unlikely because everything else looked normal. But I had to go in for blood tests to check for a bunch of possibilities to weed them out - cystic fibrosis, down syndrome, and a bunch of possible viral infections.

We won't get the results for at least a week, probably 2 for a couple of them. I'm trying to stay positive, because even the specialist says he thinks it's most likely just that baby ingested blood, and they just want to make sure it's NOT the other stuff, but I can't help but worry! Has anyone else had this happen? How did it turn out?
