Breech baby ECV??

Question

Have any of you ladies had your baby manually moved by your doctor to turn a breech baby? At 36 weeks or more? My baby is still breech and I'm 36 weeks .

I had it and it worked for me. My doctor didn’t seem all that concerned with it hurting the baby. They monitored me closely for 2 hours after and her heart rate stayed steady the whole time. She never moved back and I delivered a perfectly healthy baby a few days later. I was told yes there was a risk but there’s a risk in everything during pregnancy including c section. My doctor explained it to me and said if they see even a little bit of distress they stop. There were a few other nurses that were in and out of my room and they said they’ve seen tons of versions being done. I really don’t think they would allow them to continue doing these if it was always causing problems. I think people just get scared when they hear “may cause” because people immediately fear the worst. Obviously if you still don’t feel comfortable getting it done then you can just opt for the c section but if it were me I would get another ECV over a c section. That’s just my personal opinion though. Everyone is different

They tried with my first born but it was unsuccessful.

My baby is transverse or breech always. If they offer ECV I will not do it. The success rate is only 50-60% and even then baby can end up flipping back. Sometimes it is so traumatic that baby goes into distress and you need a c section. It's just not worth it to me. I also have a huge cyst that I would worry about bursting.
