a poem by a mom who miscarried new years day

Ashley 👼👼💜 • Married to my best friend with twin angels watching over us (miscarried new years day at 12w3d.)

I wrote this tonight in hopes it may help me and maybe others.

Twenty-Four hours

A woman’s body can betray all her hopes and dreams.

In less than twenty-four hours no heart beat to be seen.

As she cries out No! No! No! God please don’t take my baby from me!

God’s plan was already in motion with nothing left to do.

With options discussed and plans made, a D&C; was on its way.

A woman’s body can betray all her hopes and dreams.

In less than twenty-four hours huge clots are seen.

Back to emergency room mommy must go.

Dr's are everywhere telling mommy how strong she is.

As she delivers a fetus containing two babies.

They keep calling her “momma” as she silently begs them to stop.

She got tired of trying to beet the clock.

A woman’s body can betray all her hopes and dreams.

In less than twenty-four hours no heart beat to be seen.
