frustrated 😬😬

so i’m 27 w 6 d and am bleeding. of course i’m going to be worried and when my ob is closed i go to the hospital. so i live in north carolina, we are currently experiencing snow and the entire town is basically shut down 🙄 but i drive myself to the hospital with cramping pains and blood. so apparently at the hospital labor and delivery is very busy today! and i understand that, i can wait, no where near my due date i’m cool with waiting. but this damn doctor, as i’m sitting in the hallway waiting for them to clean up a room for me asks me, “are you sure you want to be seen today?” with the cockiest fucking attitude i’ve ever seen. and i politely replied “yes, i’m having pain and am spotting, i’d like to be seen!” what i really wanted to scream at him “was hell yeah, i’d like to be seen, i’m aware there’s a wait. and i did not drag myself to the damn hospital if i wasn’t sure i wanted to be seen!!” then this man returns once i’m in my room, sticks a couple fingers in me and says “we’ll be able to send you home in 15 min” uhm... okay??? thankfully my NURSE came in and explained why i could’ve been bleeding, and why i was feeling the discomfort i was. thankfully i’m scheduled for an appointment with my regular ob for the 10th so hopefully an ultrasound can be done and we can be sure there’s nothing wrong. but y’all, this momma wanted to tear some throats our tonight. i hate HATE the lack of respect women receive in health care by men doctors, this is ridiculous. 😒
