Can semen in urine affect the opk result...???

Question

Got a positive ovulation test.... but I’m confused... as I had intimated few hours before test.... can a opk result be influenced by semen in urine...??? CD 23

I have no idea if semen can effect it but I would say you shouldn’t have semen in your urine if you catch the urine midstream. So just pee for a few seconds first then catch it with the cup. That way when you’re first peeing, the urine will rinse away and semen that could be lingering.

I believe the tests are based off hormone levels in your urine. Semen should not affect it.
